Practical Solutions Through Thoughtful Engineering

We look at everyday problems, explore practical solutions, and share what we learn along the way

Could this work better?

Help First. Engineer Second. Sell Third.

We believe good ideas start by listening.

Before we design anything, we try to understand the problem — how something is used, what gets in the way, and what could work better. Then we look for the simplest practical solution we can build well.

That approach came from years in the workshop, and it still guides everything we do today

Listen first. Understand the problem. Then build something worth building.

Ideas Worth Building

BEACON is where we share what we learn.

Practical projects, useful ideas, Field Guides, and lessons from the workshop — created to help people solve problems, build with confidence, and maybe inspire an idea of their own.

We don't believe good ideas should stop at the shop door. If something we've learned can help someone else, it's worth sharing.

Field Guide No. 001

The French Cleat Workshop

Build a workshop that can change as your tools, projects, and needs change. This practical Field Guide explores the proven French cleat system and the ideas that make it so useful.

What Could
Work Better?

Some of the best ideas begin with a small frustration.

Tell us what isn't working, and we'll listen.

Please share the details of a practical problem you've encountered. We're here to help you engineer a better solution.

Where We Started

Long before BEACON, there was sawdust.

(01 Cabinetry)

(03 Drafting)

(04 Outdoor)

Arsenault Designs grew out of years spent building things by hand—cabinetry, furniture, outdoor projects, and solutions created for a specific need.

The workshop taught us something important: good work begins long before the first cut. It starts with understanding the problem, choosing the right materials, and thinking through how something will actually be used.

Those lessons still shape everything we do today.

From Bourbon Barrels to a Finished Room

Three authentic bourbon barrels, an empty dining-room wall, and an idea for something different.

We’re documenting the entire build—from the first sketches and material choices through cabinetry, finishing, installation, and the problems we solve along the way.

KEEP BUILDING, KEEP LEARNING

Good ideas are worth sharing.

Arsenault Designs is about more than what we build. It’s about the problems we solve, what we learn along the way, and the ideas we can pass on to someone else.
